Virgin Voyages ship guide · Updated October 2026

Scarlet Lady

The original lady, glowed up

Virgin’s first ship is still the one I send people to when they want the full Virgin experience in a long weekend. Her glow-up added more suites than any of her sisters, a Chinese-inspired restaurant you can only get here, and a show lineup full of Scarlet-only nights.

Why Scarlet

What’s different on Scarlet Lady

The four Lady Ships share the same bones, but the restaurants, shows, cabins and even the Italian menu change from ship to ship. Here’s what you only get on Scarlet.

01

Seriously Suites on Deck 11

Scarlet is the only ship with suites on Deck 11: 24 Seriously Suites, cabins 11218 to 11286. On her three sisters that stretch is Central Sea Terraces. Her glow-up took her to 102 RockStar Quarters, the most in the fleet.

02

Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle

Deck 5 is a Chinese-inspired dinner menu you can’t get on any other ship: Peking duck bao, walnut prawns, Szechuan noodles and a lobster and king crab hotpot to share.

03

Scarlet-only nights out

Booked: A Lola’s Library Story, It’s a Rock Show-ke, Lights, Camera, Drag!, the LOLz Supper Club and the Y2K Party are all exclusive to Scarlet.

04

Her own Extra Virgin menu

Every ship’s Extra Virgin menu is a little different. Scarlet’s has seafood risotto, corn tortellini and cacio e pepe that her sisters don’t.

Where she sails

Where Scarlet Lady sails, 2026–2028

Each Lady Ship has her own calendar, and it changes every season. Here’s where Scarlet is headed and the sailings I’d book first.

  1. Now – Apr 2027

    Miami

4–7 night Bahamas and Caribbean getaways, almost all with a day at The Beach Club at Bimini. Think Key West, Nassau, Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios.

  2. Apr 24 – May 8, 2027

    Miami → Barcelona

A 14-night transatlantic with Las Palmas, Casablanca and Valencia.

  3. May – Oct 2027

    Athens

7–12 night Greek Isles, Turkey, Albania and Adriatic sailings, with overnights in Mykonos, Istanbul and Alexandria (Cairo).

  4. Oct 31 – Nov 12, 2027

    Barcelona → San Juan

Virgin’s Halloween transatlantic, via Tangier and Lanzarote.

  5. Nov 2027 – Apr 2028

    San Juan

6–8 night Southern Caribbean: Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua and Dominica.

  6. Summer 2028

    Athens

Back to the Greek Isles and the Adriatic.

Cabins

Cabins that are different on Scarlet

Same cabin names across the fleet, but not the same layouts. Use the deck plan below to check what’s above and below any cabin, then send me the number.

Seriously Suites, Deck 11

Only on Scarlet. If you want a suite with a big terrace and you’re flexible on decks, ask me to compare these against the suites forward and aft.

Limited View Sea Terraces, Deck 8

The terraces near the lifeboats on Deck 8 have a partial view but the classic red hammock. They’re often the best value balcony on the ship.

Quiet picks

Mid-ship on Decks 9 and 10 is the sweet spot. Skip the stretch of Deck 8 right over The Manor if you go to bed early.

RockStar on Scarlet

102 RockStar suites, the most in the fleet

Scarlet’s glow-up gave her more suites than any of her sisters, so she’s the easiest Lady Ship to land a RockStar suite on. Perks, fares and my upgrade-bid playbook are the same on every ship, so they live on one page.

Photos & 3D tours

Tour every cabin and suite

Cabin categories are the same on every Lady Ship, so all the photos and Virgin’s 3D tours, from Insider cabins to the Massive Suite, live on one page. Then use the Scarlet deck plan below to pick your spot.

Deck plans redrawn by At Ease Travel Co. from Virgin Voyages' official First Mate deck plans for each ship (Scarlet, Resilient and Brilliant Lady updated 01/25/2026; Valiant Lady updated 05/12/2026). Layouts can change during dry docks, so I'll confirm the exact cabin and category on your ship before you book. Railing and egg chair details come from Virgin Voyages' First Mate terrace guide. Noise notes are based on what's above, below and beside each cabin plus sailor reports, and they're a guide, not a guarantee. Venue photos are from Virgin Voyages' First Mate media library. Menus link to Virgin's own dining pages because they change often. Cabin availability isn't shown here; it changes by the minute, so ask me or check the booking link.

My Scarlet tips

I sail Virgin myself and book it every week. These are the things I tell my clients before they board Scarlet.

Derek, At Ease Travel Co.
  1. LOLz Supper Club is free but has limited seats. Book it in the Sailor App as soon as you’re on board.
  2. Book Lucky Lotus for a night you’re hungry. The sharing plates add up fast, in a good way.
  3. On short Bimini sailings, the Beach Club day is one of the best days of the trip. Plan your bar tab around it.
