I’m Derek, founder of At Ease Travel Co. I spent the majority of my adult life in a world of rigid precision. My background in military service taught me how to handle high stakes and complex logistics with a no-fail mindset. Travel taught me something more human: the world is only as big as you feel safe enough to explore.

I started this agency because I was tired of seeing travel feel like another task on a to-do list. People performing for their vacations. Worrying about the right reservations, the right outfits, the right logistics. Exhausted before they ever reached the view. I’m here to change that.

My journey in this industry began as The Bespoke Travel Dude. That era was defined by proving that travel could be as unique as the individual. At Ease Travel Co. is the intentional evolution of that mission. I have taken that same commitment to "bespoke" detail and anchored it with the tactical precision of my military background. Same expertise, same elite access—now delivered with a singular focus on your peace of mind.

I have spent much of my life navigating environments where belonging wasn't always a given. That perspective is why inclusivity isn’t a policy here—it is a promise.

I specialize in designing journeys where everyone—particularly my fellow veterans and the LGBTQ+ community—is invited to show up exactly as they are. No pretense. No performance. Whether I'm vetting a destination for safety or hand-picking a resort that truly welcomes us, my goal is the same: a deep exhale the moment you step into the lobby.

How I work is simple. I travel the paths I recommend. I test the hotels. I share the mezcal Palomas with the staff. I handle the heavy lifting behind the scenes — timing, upgrades, and inevitable curveballs — so that when you arrive, the experience simply unfolds.
