The Happenings Cast, explained.
Virgin doesn't have a cruise director. It has a cast of 12 hosts, each with a theme, who run the parties, games, classes and shows on every Lady Ship. Here's who's who, and what I tell my sailors before they board.

Go to Let's Set Sail
The cast introduces itself at the sail-away party on day one. You'll know who runs trivia, magic and the late parties before dinner.
Check the app every morning
Happenings move around by day and port. A two-minute look at the Sailor App each morning is how you catch the secret and pop-up events.
Pack for the theme nights
Scarlet Night means red, and the PJ Party means sleepwear. I send every client the themes for their sailing before they pack.

Happenings Cast FAQ
What is the Happenings Cast on Virgin Voyages?
The Happenings Cast is Virgin Voyages' replacement for a cruise director and cruise staff. It's a group of 12 hosts, each built around a theme like games, food, art, fitness or nightlife, who run the parties, classes, trivia and shows across the ship.
Does Virgin Voyages have a cruise director?
No. Instead of one cruise director, Virgin splits the job across the 12 Happenings Cast roles. The Hostess and The Diva act as the main hosts and emcees for big moments like Scarlet Night.
Who is The Diva on Virgin Voyages?
The Diva is the resident drag queen. She hosts bingo, stars in her own cabaret show and turns up at the big parties. Each ship has its own Diva show: Lights, Camera, Drag! on Scarlet Lady, Around the World with The Diva on Valiant Lady, Diva Fever on Resilient Lady and The Diva Goes West on Brilliant Lady.
How often does the Happenings Cast change?
Each ship gets a new cast roughly every six months. The roles stay the same, but the people playing them rotate, so the personalities and some event names change from cast to cast.
Where can I see who is on my ship's current cast?
Virgin runs one official Happenings Cast Instagram for all four ships, @vvhappeningscast.
When do I meet the Happenings Cast?
The cast introduces itself at Let's Set Sail, the sail-away party on the first day. It's the best way to learn who runs what, so plan to be on deck for it.
Want the fun planned?
Tell me your ship and dates. I'll send the theme nights, which shows to book and where the cast hangs out, with Sailor Loot on eligible bookings.
