Deck plans redrawn by At Ease Travel Co. from Virgin Voyages' official First Mate deck plans for each ship (Scarlet, Resilient and Brilliant Lady updated 01/25/2026; Valiant Lady updated 05/12/2026). Layouts can change during dry docks, so I'll confirm the exact cabin and category on your ship before you book. Railing and egg chair details come from Virgin Voyages' First Mate terrace guide. Noise notes are based on what's above, below and beside each cabin plus sailor reports, and they're a guide, not a guarantee. Venue photos are from Virgin Voyages' First Mate media library. Menus link to Virgin's own dining pages because they change often. Cabin availability isn't shown here; it changes by the minute, so ask me or check the booking link.

How I'd pick a cabin

Check above and below

Decks 5, 8 and 14 sit next to venues. Deck 14 is under The Galley, the pool and the gym, and the stretch of decks 5 and 8 around The Manor picks up late-night bass. Turn on Noise warnings, or use the Quiet pick filter, to see only cabins with cabins above and below that are away from the elevators.

Midship for smooth seas

The middle of the ship moves the least, and it's a short walk to almost everything. If you're prone to seasickness, start with cabins in the middle third of a mid-level deck, decks 9 to 12.

Hammock or egg chair?

Most Sea Terraces have glass railings and the red hammock. A few dozen at the curve of the bow have steel or part-steel railings, and many of those have a hanging egg chair instead. Virgin's own First Mate guide lists them, and I've marked every one. Some sailors actually prefer them for the privacy in port.

Traveling as a group

Use Sleeps 3+, Sleeps 4 and Connecting to find rooms for families and friend groups. Connecting pairs book fast, so tell me early and I'll hold the right two together.
